I got bored today, so I decided to tear into my XA that I could see had oil on the shutter blades. Photos and play-by-play at http://flic.kr/s/aHsjHSaF3A PF |

And now, the test photos. Like an idiot, I forgot to set the aperture on the first few shots, but then I couldn't see the shutter speed read-out in the viewfinder to remind me. Must be the eyeglasses. http://flic.kr/s/aHsjHSDdPK PF |

I did some post work on the BaconFest photos, so you can see what image quality you can get from this camera. Sorry they are drugstore scans, but my usual lab isn't open on Saturday. PF |

I just did the exact same thing the other day with my new(er) XA, ASA 400, I had the aperture set to 5.6 on a bright sunny morning... I didn't even look at the needle in the viewfinder... it was pegged of course. Adobe here I come. Great sets, thanks for the tear-apart info, hope I never need it..LOL |
