I got a Pentax Winder MX, if I load the batteries and set to S or C, the motor is then activated hence when I pressed the release button, the motor stops. Is it normal? I thought it might be the opposite way around....???

I forget to mention that in this case, the camera is not mounted in to the winder.

It's normal. When you mount the winder on the camera, it will advance as far as it needs to rewind the film and then automatically snap the shutter. Don't worry..it's working correctly.

Hi Glenn,

Thank you very much for your effort hunting and answering this old message. Now I know that I can trust my winder....

Best Wishes,
Bobbet
