I have a Rolleiflex E2 that I purchased brand new. It is in great shape with the exception of the meter. Meter doesn't work. I haven't been able to find anyone to work on it, as no one seems to have the parts. I had heard it is possible to send it back to Germany for repairs. Any advice would be appreciated.
I have a 3.5F Rollie which is probably similar,and had metering problems too, the readings being erratic and sometimes non-existent. The meter setting knob on the LH side can be taken off by removing two small screws. Underneath is a contact plate which can be making an imperfect electrical coneection with the meter in the main body of the camera. I cured mine by cleaning the contacts and tinning them with solder. Time: 15 minutes.
