When firing the shutter on this camera starting from 1 sec up things sound OK till I get to 1/15 sec. This speed goes off at 1 sec. 1/30 is slow also, then starting with 1/60 things sound OK. The repair manual this site has posted for the Canon 7 mentions this problem but the mechanics for that model are different than for the Canon P. Can someone offer any insight to this repair/adjustment or refer me to the proper literature? Thanks. Bill |

Hi Bill. My Nikon F is doing exactly the same thing but at one speed lower, 1/8th & 1/15th. I imagine that the problem is the same. It was suggested that the camera requires a major strip down which I am not keen on attempting. If you find another answer please add it to this posting. Regards, Howard. |

Hello again Bill. I'm sorry I misread your heading and thought you were referring to a Nikon rangefinder not a Canon. The problem may still be similar but the answer probably isn't. Good luck with it, Howard |
