I was told by a camera shop that something might need to be lubbed, maybe a bearing? The camera hasn't been used in a few years.I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Brian |

Hi, Brian. Check a post above dated 5/19 titled "Canon Squeal". It has some info on solving this problem. |

Shutter squeal is a typical problem with this model. Shutter block has to be lubricated and adjusted. In order to do so camera has to be completely disassembled. We specialize in service and repair of 35mm SLR cameras and are certainly familiar with this particular problem. Our estimate for this particular model is $53.00.
