I am new to camera repairs. I have a Pentax ME that will drain the battery because the led's stay lighted after depressing the shutter button to check the shutter speed. For some reason, the led's remain lit and don't go out after a few seconds like it should. I have tried jiggling the shutter button, and tried place a washer under the sping washer than returns the button to the "up" positin, but it doesn't help. I think it may be an internal problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks... Glenn |

The Pentax ME has a "lock" function, where the exposure meter stays on if the shutter button is pressed with the advance lever pulled out from the body. There may be something wrong with this mechanism. |
