I have never had any major trouble with SRTs so far, but the one am currently working on is a real poser, there was a lot of corrosion inside. Repair (including the slow speed escapement) is almost finished, so I checked the shutter times, quite satisfactory so far, ...
... does anyone know how to adjust 1/30 sec of an SRT shutter?
Yes, I have a (101) repair manual, on p.45 it says "Adjust the split pin of the slow speed cam (2015)" (which is the lowest of the cams down under the speed control knob).
The problem is it does not have a split section or any adjusting groove, although one is shown in a picture of part 2015 in the above mentioned service manual on p. 76.
Can anyone please shed some light on the matter, W.

I'll try. I enclosed a photo of the adjustment points as I remember them. The curtain speeds on an SRT are critical to getting speeds adjusted. Both curtains need to be running at the same speed, (12-12.4ms).

I'd start with the 1/500-1/60 adjustment, then move to the 1/30-1/8. (The big screw head). You may have to go back and forth on those to get it right. 1/1000 is in the little hole of the speed knob.

Hope this helps, Kevinsrt closeup

Thanks a lot, Kevin. Your info corresponds to what the service manual says except the "big screw head" (= 1/8 sec., according to the repair document).
I'll try again to get things right tomorrow, W.

Krp wrote: "You may have to go back and forth on those to get it right." Doing so settled the case, all speeds are now close to what the speed dial says (measured with my old, now fully restored Kahfo (tube operated) shutter tester, thanks again, W.

Excellent, Glad it worked out for you. I don't recall any of the other mechanical cameras that have that level of adjustments.

Regards, Kevin
