I have in mind a small tool or adapter with a camel hair nozzle that would allow vacuuming lens surfaces and camera innards. Is there such a thing?

I've seen cheesy little battery powered vacuums made for computers and the like, which are very close to what you would want, but usually don't have fine enough brushes. I even have one somewhere. It sort of worked, but never well enough to bother keeping the batteries fresh. You might be able to combine one of those little vacuums (if you can find one that really vacuums) with one of those camel hair brushes that are often found with a little blower bulb.

Stick with what professional camera and instrument repair techs use- a camel hair brush and a rubber bulb blower.

I just found a nifty little vacuum cleaner gadget that plugs right into a USB port on your PC. It has a brush attachment and a flexible rubber attachment that's made to collapse just enough to get in between the keys of a keyboard. It even has a light!
Have not had a chance to thoroughly test it yet,...but I think it will really suck. (",)
