I keep seeing the expression "coupled rangefinder" but can't understand it. Rangefinder?? Is that an American expression? Something to do with focus?? Coupled rangefinder??
Could someone explain in simple terms, please.

Hello John: A coupled rangefinder means that the lense focusing action is automatically coupled to the rangefinder in the window. As you change focus the superimposed or split rangefinder moves in accordance with it , thus taking the guessing out of distance setting. The expression is universal..Don
