Hello all,

I'm replacing the light seals on an Olympus 35 EC and have scraped roughly equal amounts of old seal material from the body and door. Were there originally seals in both the body and door, only on the body, or only on the door?

Thanks,

Steve Edwards

Thanks.

That's where I'll put them.

Both, actually. On the film door and in the long thin slots of the body. I've written instructions for this one, but they haven't been posted yet. Please e:mail me if you want them.

Jon -- I did my Olympus 35 ECR with your seal material a couple years back. As I understand, this camera should be the same as the EC except the ECR is a rangefinder. The light seals must be the same as well since my ECR had them in the door and the body (the hinge seal was on the body only). Has this been your experience with the ECR?

Hey, Donnie...good to hear from you! Yes, I think the EC and ECR were the same except for the rangefinder, and your description matches what I've found. Nice cameras, really. The instructions should be posted here before too long. Jon

Rats. I thought I had finished re-sealing my EC last night. Looks like I'll be adding seals on the body tonight.

Thanks guys. Jon, I'll e-mail you for the instructions just to make sure I haven't missed something else. Steve
