Hi I have a nikon F3 on wich I need to replace the display block (the one with the flash-led and the viewfinder illuminator bulb). To do this I need to remove the top cover on the rewind side. I have a repair manual for the camera, but I don't quite get how to disassemble the rewind crank. If I get the crank out the way, the rest should be easy. If you want to, I can upload the pages from the pages from the manual... Thanks /Johan |

Hello Johan The rewind crank is removed by holding the forked section in the body, and then turning the rewind crank anti-clockwise. Below that you will have prise up the black plate, use a needle or a sharp blade, the plate is glued down and is normally marked when you remove it.You will have to make a small forked screw driver to remove one of the 3 screws below the plate, but this is only a small problem. Hope this helps. Doug |
