The superimposed image has faded to the point that focusing is problematic. I have gained access to the mechanism and everything is very clean. I have some ideas of my own but I would like to hear from those who have experience in the matter. Zone focusing would not be a problem for me (I grew up without a light meter or a rangefinder) but I would like to restore this function to its full capacity.

Perhaps a small piece of a gelatin yellow filter in the rf window would do the job..
