I have a Vito II with a color-scopar lens in a prontor shutter. The shutter is slow and sticky at slow speeds (seems to be a common problem). After much research I have some idea on how to service the shutter but I have no idea how to get to it. Can someone point me in the right direction?

thanks in advance-
Matthew

Howpow ... if you answer quesions per individual emails you are answering ONE - whereas information/answers on the forum helps many. Getting past the focussing stops of the focusing front element on the Vito II is a tricky task and it would no doubt be helpful to many to see your procedure.

I agree with Stuart, I'd be grateful if you'd share this in the forum.

Thanks much

Hi. This was covered in a thread about 5 years ago which has vanished from the archives for some reason. Ray Youngblood came up with the answer. In a nutshell you require 2 flexiclaps. (1) 1 1/8" to turn the knurled focussing ring CCW and (1) 1 3/16th" to hold the calibrated black distance scale. Mine was quite tight, but once undone the black decorative cone simply falls out.

i never would have guessed that, and of course at present i'm not equipped for it. Thanks very much for the tip.

Sorry!. I meant flexiclamps not flexiclaps. There are available from Micro Tools.
