I have broken my Super Ikonta IV. One of the metal pieces in the shutter mechanism broke in half. I believe it is the part of the shutter which holds the main drive spring in place. Is it possible to fix this part by welding or by some kind of glue. I looked at using Loctite Weld, but I am not sure if it is strong enough.
I'm not sure glue is the correct technique for this repair. If you decide to try it, the best I've found is JB-Weld epoxy. It's slow to cure, but extremely strong. I once saw a guy use it to make a temporary repair to a holed cylnder in a Harley. Tough stuff!
