I used "www.cameraleather.com" for the materials for my 1st try at this type of restoration.

I paid a little extra for 'pre-cut' for my camera model, and it took ME a hour.

(For a regular person it would have taken 15 min.)

I recommend them !

I heartily agree -- I re-leathered a Kiev 4A and it looks gorgeous. I have to buy some non-kit leatherette to restore a rather rare camera, though -- a Vokar (see attached)

cameraleather sells very accurate covers but on eBay and elsewhere they give a number to specify the leather pattern.Their covers replace the leather that is standard but I would like to see optional leather to cover non standard areas like the pentaprism.The Pentax LX has strap lugs which I covered with some scraps and it looks good.The body I covered I left glue in spots to act as a sealant.
