I just bought a Nikon EM body from the junk box at a local camera shop. It is my first SLR! The problem is the automatic shutter delay, which sounds too short. With the lense cap on and lights off, the longest shutter delay I can get is 2 seconds. In normal light, changing the aperture or film speed setting affects the delay significantly, but it is always less than about 2 seconds. Is there some adjustment I can make or a link to a repair manual please? |

Hi John: The longest claimed shutter speed in the Nikon EM is 1 second. As in most aperture automatics, a give copy might perform a bit past spec, which would explain yours making it to 2 seconds. If you need a longer time than that, set the switch under the shutter release to "B", in which case it will stay open as long as you hold the button down. There is a lot of information on the EM here: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/emfgfg20/em/index.htm |
