the shutter cocking lever on my polaroid land camera 420 doesn't stay down all the way and the shutter release isn't clicking. is this because the shutter is broken or could i just need a new battery? thanks a lot.

I don't think it's the battery. If I remember right, with a dead battery it will sound and act normal but your photos will come out black.
