This is my first time on here. My XE-7 has an aperature ring that will not return all the way. I saw a similar post in the archives about someone with a Leica R3 doing something similar. I have taken off all the front rings, the top cap, and the eyepiece. I can see that string going back inside the ASA ring area. It seems to be properly routed over the 2 roller guides. When I gently pull on this string, it will not spring all the way back. Can someone in here give me an idea of what is on the other end of that string? Additionally, the meter needle is pretty erratic. Is that related to this string issue? This old XE-7 body is in really decent physical shape, so I'd kinda like to revive it, if its something not too difficult. I really appreciate this forum being here. Thanx in advance.
