It seems these enlarger heads have the same problem with a Vactrol # VLT9B8 that isn't manufactured anymore. Bessler isn't supporting this head anymore either and has nothing to offer as a replacement.
Someone on APUG had an electronics person look over the scematics and found that an Alied Electronics Perkin Elmer # VTL 5C3 works in it's place.
I have a copy of the scematics since Besseler doesn't have em on file anymore in case anyone may have the same problem they can have the plans with some searching.

Andy, Where have you been all this time? Vera and another fellow had a pretty tough time getting scematics n parts. Now you pop up out of the woodwork?
There is a copy of the scematic posted here someplace and there is enough conversation to give clues about that vactrol.
BTW what is the correct vactrol to use in that head? Can you post some sort of wiring scheme as well as a part number n source of em so we have a searchable record of it? |
