help, advance lever is stuck, mirror is in the down position, I've opened the bottom plate and can't find any problems, I'm in the Andes without a camera right now! |

Try this, With the bottom off, you should see an L shaped lever next to the tripod socket. There is a slot in the metal plate below the lever. Another lever extends out of the slot.
In the ready to fire position, that lever arm must be latched to the L shaped arm above it ( toward the front of the camera )
Reset the lever arm and give the film advance a test push to make sure and see if it fires
