Hi I can't open the back of my camera as the re-wind shaft has dropped into the body of the camera. I still have the exterior part. Does anyone know how I can open the camera without this mechanism? Help appreciated..

Rick answered this in your previous post: the release is on the left side of the hole, toward the latch

Hi Jess:

Pentax first: The ideal tool is a small crochet hook. Reach down into the hole where the rewind shaft used to be, and feel around the sides for a small ledge. When you find it, pull up with the hook and the back will open. If it doesn't, you've found the wrong ledge, hunt for another one and repeat until it works.
