I am trying to clean up the lens. Fungus is found underneath the 2 front element. I am able to remove the 1st element but not the 2nd element. Please advise on how to remove it or clean it.

Many Thanks,

Jackey

You might also try Mark Dapoz's website: http://olympus.dementia.org/Hardware/ ....and contact him. Not sure if his email address is current: [email protected] I still have a PDF file for that lens (parts diagram) but it's a bit too large to send via email as I have dial-up modem. I have a smaller document on the f1.8 lens; if desired send me an email: turnergande at earthlink dot net

Dear Turnergande,

I tried Mark Dapoz's Website regarding 50mm f1.8. It seems to me the 50mm F1.4 is different from F.18. It said "I first removed the front ring CE168900 with a home made key (see details below). I removed the three screws PUK1.4x4SN, and then removed the front frame assembly". After removing the front ring, I could not find the three screws.
Best Regards, Jackey Wong

Jackey,

Take a close look at the 50mm f1.4 parts file (pdf) I sent you. If that does not help maybe another forum member can offer some suggestions on disassembly of that Zuiko OM f1.4 lens (front lens elements).
