I have a Retina 148 with the bellows detached at the back, and damaged in the process. As the pound is so strong against the dollar at the moment I thought I'd take advantage and get some replacement bellows made up across the pond.

However, looking at it, I realise I have no idea how to detach the old ones from the rear of the shutter assembly. Can I access the plate they are attached to by removing the shutter/lens assembly - I've downloaded Chris Sherwood's guide, and I think it's near enough the same as my camera - or is there more I need to do?

When you take the shutter off, the bellows will come right out. You may have to transfer the plate the shutter went through, just be sure to center it when you put the new bellows back on. Do that by lining everything with the camera closed as you screw the retainer back on.

Thanks Paul, that sounds reasonably simple with Chris's instructions (for a slightly later camera, but looks much the same inside).

Let's hope the pound stays strong until I get a mo to do it!
