That looks like a Kodak Brownie card board camera. They aren't worth that much. I have a Brownie No 2 116 film camera in much better shape than that I'd sell you for $20? It's working. It's just missing the little red plastic on the back.

Hi since posting this picture I have restored the box camera and to my surprise found that the original camera had been recovered maybe to sell it by using colour covering.

It's very nice looking, and it looks as if it would actually take a picture. Does the shutter work?

If the shutter on a box camera works, it should take a picture - light leaks allowing. It's that simple. Or rather they are that simple!

What may not be simple is finding film - it looks like a square format. Oh - hang on - you do say 120 in the first post. Shouldn't be a problem, then - go shoot a roll! I'm guessing shutter speed will probably be about 1/30th of a second, but have no idea what the weather is like in Oz at the moment so not sure what speed film to suggest. 100 will be easiest to find, I suspect.

I still have that dead Hawkette if you fancy a challenge... Not sure what postage would be, though.

Adrian
