Hello, I've recently acquired yashica electro cc camera. The battery check works (strong green light - so baterry is ok), but the electronics doesn't - there is no arrows and only one shutter speed. Do you think it would be possible to fix it unaided? The camera doesn't look like being dropped or physically damaged. Please help

Propably a leaking battery has corroded the wires and solder junctions within the camera. The are two different wires for the light meter and the battery check. You have to take the top cap off and to inspect the wiring at the battery compartment.

Lifting the top cap off is not too difficult but pay attention on a tiny pin which is inside of the PC connector. Do not loose it. Furthermore there are some springs and knobs which might get lost in the moment the cap comes off. Good luck.

Shutter has to be cocked for the meter to work... and also the lights only apear at a certain part of the shutter button trip... :-)
