The lens has oily blades. It looks like I have to access the blades from the front. I have isolated the glass section from the rest, but have problems separating the front and back section. I guess I have to unscrew the front glass from the "barrell" using friction, but am unsure about the direction. Clockwise or anti-clockwise? |

I just found http://rick_oleson.tripod.com/index-161.html, and my lens looks very similar. I'll go for the normal clockwise direction. |

The threads will be normal right-hand thread: clockwise to tighten, anti-clockwise to loosen. |
