Hi,

I have two hi-matic 9's One of them won't close focus all the way to 3ft. the focus ring stops at the 4ft. mark. The other one has the ragefinder and focus out of sync. I don't know which one is off yet, but it looks to focus past infinity when looking through the rangefinder. Any advise/instructions on how to fix these would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

I would first check the infinity focus of both cameras. To do that open the back and mount a focussing screen (ground glass) at film plane level. Another good approach is a matt tape which is taped flat (!) across the film plane.

Set the aparture to full opening and observe the effect of the focussing with a strong magnifier. Concentrate on the initity focus. Generally: it is not very likely that a cameras focus is off but a rangefinder out of sync is quite usuall. It is usually easy to fix.
