Just-acquired C 35 doesn't seem to have a meter that functions. Doesn't fluctuate with light sources. New battery, clean contacts, wires from battery holder not corroded. Seems stuck at 1/250 & f5.6, according to the read-out. Ideas, please?
Thanks!
Don

What you say does not sound too promising, I'm afraid. I have found small objects (sand, parts of deteriorated light seals) in the meter itself, causing the needle to get stuck midway. As the meter coil on its movable rack rotates around a magnet it can also be blocked by a small screw or any other magnetizable object. You have to be VERY careful when removing these things, as the meter's spiral retracting springs are very vulnerable.
