Well, finishing touches tonight. The balky second curtain is working fine. The oil applied to the drum loosened things up. The slow shutter speeds are now working again. While I had it apart, I cleaned up and tested the self timer. Wow, that thing has a very strong spring and fires the shutter like nobody's business! On most cameras you leave them alone because they are more trouble than they are worth. I also found an article on CLA of Jupiter lens. So I took the J-8 that came with this camera apart and cleaned and lubed it. What a difference; very smooth. I have to say I am very impressed with the camera. It's fairly simple and easy to work on compared to some leaf shutter cameras I've had apart. I would love to find another junker that needs curtains.
