Hello,

I have Canonet (first model), while focusing the double image do coincide horizontally but not vertically. But I beleive it can still able to focus. What do you say about that.

Looking forward,

Regards,

Rizwan

Yes, as long as the horizontal is accurately calibrated. But why wouldn't you correct the vertical?

Thanks Brian. For two reasons. I have no idea how to remove the timer ring on top and have no clue where to find the vertical adjustment screw.

Is the camera set to "A"? When set to A, the shutter is locked unless there is enough light for an exposure. It is also locked at A if the battery is dead or missing. Set the aperture ring to a manual setting and see if the shutter works that way.
