I have a Yashica 35cc which handles film speeds from 25 iso to 500. I'd like to be able to use the camera with Tri-X rated at 1250 iso. How easy is it to recalibrate the film speed settings to run from 100 iso to 1600 iso instead? Is recalibrating the film speed a DIY job or would I have to send it to a mechanic? To my straightforward brain it would seem a simple case of making adjustments to a potentiometer but I bet that isn't the case! I doubt I'd ever use the 25 and 50 film speeds anyway so I'm not losing much but gaining the ability to develop Tri-X in Diafine. Thanks, Bruce |

If you go to "The Yashica Guy" website he has a link to his email address and may be able to give you an answer. |

I was able to adjust a Canon GIII to use 1600 film by intentionally mis-calibrating it one stop. What I did was very specific to the GIII though. |
