I am new to the forum and apologize if this is a repeat (I did look in the archive) or so simple to be a yuk, but I need help.

I have a Canon FD 200mm f4 lens which I recently purchased and used, but not used very much. It worked is what I am trying to say.

However, now I cannot get it to lock onto the camera. It seems to sit squarely in place, but it will not twist and lock into working position.

I have tried it on my A-1 and T90 and cannot get it to lock. I can get my other lenses to mount easily so the problem is not with the camera body side of the coupling.

Thank you for any insights on what to do.

From your description this is a nFD lens (twisting lens to mount), so I suggest that the inner mount has been rotated slightly, whilst the lens was off the camera. With the rear of the lens facing you, hold in the lens release button and turn the inner part of the mount anti-clockwise until it clicks or you feel it stop. This should now allow the lens to enter the body mount correctly, so you can twist it into the locked position.
