Has anyone taken the motor drive dog off a Praktina (FX)? With the centre screw out there is no way it wants to pull off. It's possible it could be screwed on (a left-hand thread presumably), but it seems determined to stay put!

With the help of some WD40 and some heat from a soldering iron, I can answer my own question: It is screwed on, and it is a left-hand thread.
