I have a very old Leica Meter (num. 09113) that it's in excellent condition but it does'nt work.
This light meter works without battery and I think that the cells are bad.
Do you think that is possible to repai it?

Yes it is repairable but at what time and cost? photovoltaic cells are still available you might check with Edmund Scientific. There are two factors to check , Mainly size, is the replacement small enough to fit housing. the other is voltage output. Add a third (calibration) usually done by adjusting a poteniometer. I take it this is a MC or earlier meter. You will have to calilbrate the meter to the new cell, this is done by comparison with an accurate meter. then adjusting the pot. I have seen some meters calibrated by painting small portions of the cell surface till it was accurate. Good luck an let me know how you make out with it. Don

I just posted instructions for repairing a selenium meter on an Auto Eye II. They can be accessed directly at:

Hi Juan

Were you successful with the repair? I have a Leica MC here waiting for the same treatment. I was unsure about the right replacement cell from Edmund Scientific because the MC has two sections for high and normal sensitivity.
