Chris Sherlock's web site is the place to go for information on the Retinas. He has a detailed guide to adjusting the IIa rf; I don't know how similar that is to the II model, but Chris will be able to tell you. |

The pre-war II (142) is quite different from the post-war IIa, which I also own. Chris was my first contact, but couldn't get back to me until later this week. Top |

Rick posted a drawing of the Type 142 rf some time ago in a photo.net thread. I have the post-war Type 014 which looks to have the same rf as the IIa, though I don't recall looking in there to make sure. It has a terrific Xenon lens, but I've never gotten the shutter working quite as well as I would like. |

I found Rick's drawing last week. Solved the immediate issue, and it wasn't the first time Rick's little pictures have done so. Current problem is intermittent film advance/shutter lock/counter skipping, but I suspect a good cleaning and a touch of lube will solve it. Top |
