I took the shutter/lens assembly off of my Contaflex I body to see if I could get the aperture functioning properly. That seems ok now, but I haven't been able to get the shutter/lens assembly back onto the body. I have carefully read over this exchange between Jon Goodman and Wayne, but seem to be missing something. I'm a little unclear on properly positioning the rings or tabs to get it all flatly seated against the body. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |

It's probably hard to read at this shrinkification... if this looks like it would help, email me for a higher resolution copy. |

My thanks to Rick, Wayne and Jon. The Contaflex is back together and the aperture stop-down looks snappy at all speeds. Even after looking at Rick's sketch I had some trouble identifying the parts to align, but some trial and error showed me that a rectangular tab needed to fit in a similarly shaped slot (makes rather good sense). |
