I am having trouble with my Nikon 35 mm film camera. After loading the film, I try to cock the camera and push the shutter release. The lever that cocks the camera locks and it won't work. So, I set the ASA to the M90 position and it frees up. When I put it on 125 ASA it freezes up again. Can anyone recommend a fix or diagnosis.

Well, the M90 is a shutter speed not an ASA setting. Assuming you are selecting a shutter speed of 1/125 and not just setting 125 ASA then my first suspect would be the batteries (M90 and B are mechanical speeds, all the others are electrically controlled).

Does the camera work in the M250 and the B shutter setting? If so, you may need new batteries.

The mirror will lock up in all other settings if the batteries are dead.
