I have a Sonnar f/1.5 Opton in Contax mount which has fungus behind the front element. I have removed the front group from the lens but can't get it apart. There are slots in the front ring which suggests it should unscrew but I can't move it. Anyone know if it should come apart? Anyone dismantled one of these before?

Thanks John. The diagram is not as my lens is. It looks like the diagram, as far as the lens retaining parts are concerned, has been simplified. Either that or there are different versions. Anyway, I did eventually get the front ring off. It does unscrew as I thought. |
