Hi,

I have a Pentax ES with a shutter that is not working properly in automatic mode. The mechanical shutter speeds seem fine and the meter reading are accurate. Pressing the battery test button on a brand new battery move the needle to 250 instead of 30 as specified in the user manual. Thus, the camera behave as the battery was dead, i.e. the shutter seems to be 1/1000 with all measured light value.

Does any of you have any idea what this might be or any tips where should I start investigating ?

Thanks,

Jeff
