I've been looking for information about the operating temperature range for a Copal MXV shutter, particularly the low temperature limit. Does anyone have such information? www.contax139.co.uk www.contax-yashica-repairs.co.uk

The main limitation will be caused by stiffening of lubricants in cold temperatures. If the shutter is clean and dry, there may be no practical limit, if the oil is old and beginning to thicken it could hang up at room temperature. |

Thanks Rick. Very true. But I wondered if there was a temperature specification issued by Copal. www.contax139.co.uk www.contax-yashica-repairs.co.uk
