I have an FE2 in really nice condition, but the lock on the exposure compensation ring isn't working properly.

To rotate the dial clockwise (+), the release button must be depressed (this functions properly). However, I can spin the dial in the anti-clockwise direction (-) whether the release button is depressed or not. As a result, I periodically underexpose photos on accident. I'm guessing something's jammed, and may just need lubrication. It's a lovely camera, so I greatly appreciate any thoughts!

I actually had it reversed. The released button must be depressed for anti-clockwise. The dial spins regardless of the release button being depressed or not in the clockwise direction.
