Hello all! So glad I found this site . Okay so basically I'm 18 and relatively new to this camera business, I have a Canon eos 400d which I'm gradually getting accustomed to, however have expressed an interest in film photography for a while. My grandfather gave me his old Olympus OM10 yesterday and we had a little play around with it. (It had no film in it). But generally it seemed to work. However, I have got it home now and the viewfinder seems to be very dark. When I flick to the 'on' button the red light does not show up & the film lever will only go so far. Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem? |

Are the batteries ok? Both the 0M10 light meter & shutter are dependent on them. |

That's a good question, how do I access the batteries? |

Turn the camera upside down and in the down cover you'll see a round plate. It works like a screw. turn it anti-clockwise to get it out. Hope your grandfather didn't store the camera with the batteries in it... RJ. |

A 20p piece is an ideal 'screwdriver' for the battery cover. I also hope the old gentleman did not forget....... |
