Does anyone know if the shutter blades from a Kodak Retina with synchro-compur shutter would fit in the synchro-compur shutter of a Werra camera? I want some replacement blades for my Werra 3, but as these cameras are more scarce than Retinas, and I'm impatient, I wondered if I might get a junk Retina and fit the blades in my Werra.

I suspect that the important thing is probably the internal diameter of the shutter - if it's the same, I'd be prepared risk it. If it doesn't work, you can always try to fix the Retina as well!

I thimk these shutters come in several sizes, #0, #1, #3, etc. You might dtermine the size of each as a clue to interchangeability. Retina IIa with an f2.0 lens might have bigger blades than the Werra's f2.8 lens. Hope this helps.

Just in case anyone's interested, the blades from a Kodak Retina 1b are identical to those in a Werra 3 with synchro-compur, as are most of the other parts in the shutter, and are perfectly compatible.
