hi,the light meter on fujica st605 is under exposing by one & a half stops,does anyone know how to calibrate the meter |

I'm not sure if it is the same, but the ST701 has a potentiometer under the top cover near the battery compartment. Try looking for something similar on yours. By adjusting the "arm" position on the pot, the meter readings should change. |

hi waynemel,found the potentiometer,tried moving the arm with fingernail,very gently,it didn't move,whats the right way to move it? cheers,ken. |

Before you change the position of the potentiometer, it is a good idea to mark its original position. Once you have done that, try moving it around in one direction and see what happens to the deflection. Usually decreasing the resistance (moving the adjusting arm towards the fixed wire terminal) will give more deflection. Now, depending on the design of the pot, it could be easy or difficult to move it. If it has a slot in the middle (pivot), then try a screwdriver. If it has a small dimple on the arm that touches the resistive path, I try a pair of tweezers with one tip in that dimple and the other on the pivot. If these basic tricks do not work, I have also tried a pair of long-nose pliers to hold the adjusting arm and to rotate it. |
