I have a Minolta SRT-201 that I bought new many years ago. It is in like new condition. I've always had trouble focusing with the microprism focusing screen. The other day I was given a pretty beat up Minolta SRT-202. It (SRT-202) has a split-image focusing screen. Does anyone know if the split image screen will fit the SRT-201 without alterations before I take them apart? TIA Jim |

Although I have worked on a couple of SRT303 models I haven't swapped screens, however all the major components are common to the whole SRT range, so you shouldn't have any problems. There should be no need to adjust the screen leveling screws, 3 of them, 2 at the front and 1 at the back of the frame, but with the screen removed it is a good opportunity to renew the foam seal along the frame edges. |
