I picked up a 7s today for $7.50 and all works well except that the light meter needle seems to stick at the top, I was reading a little about that it might have a trap mechanism for the needle? I did notice that if I press the shutter release a bit it well pop down like it should so it would make sense if it had a trap mechanism that it is sticking because of that? Should I take the top cover off and inspect? What should I look for? I am thinking I well pull the bottom cover as well and check the battery leads as the old battery left some residue in the holder when I replaced it with a 675 and o-ring.

Thanks again as always.

Yes, it is a trap needle metering system. Some of those meters will stick on the tiny rubber buffers on the stops. Its also possible that there is some gunk trapped down in the magnet gap. I would take the stop off and carefully observe where the meter is sticking. Is is sticking against the stop or somewhere else.
