Prontor S main spring unwound

Posted on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 - 08:02 pm:        I replaced the broken cocking lever on my Ikoflex which uses a Prontor S shutter. I used a lever from a similar shutter in an Agfa folder, and it had a deeper bushing which I filed down to fit the main spring shaft, and everything seems to be working. I put it back together but could not figure out how to wind up the main spring, so there is not enough power to make it work right. In the end i had to make a tool to get the Drive Spring installed again : Prontor-S DIY Tool for Main Spring
