I'm having problems reassembling the speed / ASA dial on an FX-3 that I replaced a damaged top on.

The speed setting part of the dial functions correctly, but the ASA part of the dial does not.

Does anyone have any hints or tips on doing this? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Problem solved. Thanks to the excellent Mike Butkus (www.butkus.org/chinon/index.html) and his help in supplying an assembly diagram I have managed to reassemble this.

For those who encounter this problem in future the assembly order from the bottom up is:

1. Speed contact plate
2. ASA stopper
3. ASA collar
4. Speed dial
5. Speed dial cover
6. ASA spring
7. ASA name plate
8. Shutter dial name plate.

Then replace the small pin screw and test. Make sure the camera is on the B setting and align accordingly.
