I am trying to replace the hot shoe on my X-24 flash attachment, but it seems to be a Chinese Puzzle! Anyone have any suggestions????
I can't get the flash apart, to even begin!!!

Oddly enough, I happen to have some notes on the X-24 flash ... but they don't deal directly with replacing the foot. From what I can see in the notes, though, it looks like you have to take the whole flash apart and then get at the foot from above.

this I understand. I'm having troubles opening it. I can only get so far. The battery side will not open. I have removed the obvious screws, and tripped the smaller clasps near the battery opening. Any Ideas??
I would appreciate all ideas about hidden clasps etc. as I have never done this before.
