Does anyone know how to remove the film advance
knob on a Kodak Retina II (not the IIa)? I need
to get the topcover off to clean the viewfinder.
Is it an RH or LH thread?

Thanks

There were a few Retina II models, but the secret you are probably looking for is this.....The advance knob is left-hand threaded, you MUST hold the shaft from turning inside the camera with a suiable spanner while unscrewing the knob. The spanner needs to be around 11mm or 7/16" from memory and thin. My one started life as a 10mm spanner and was adjusted to fit with a disc grinder..

Thanks for the reply, Chris. Now it's off to buy
a cheapie 10mm wrench and then get the ole
grinder cranked up.
